Questions and answers about setting to play PVZVM and PVZVM based fan games.

How can I play PVZVM, Co-op Mode, or PVZVM fan games?

This guides explains methods to play PVZVM. Read note at top about playing Co-op Mode. Only sections marked with Fan Games has a list of PVZVM fan games.

Where can I find players to play PVZVM (or Co-op Mode or PVZVM fan games) with?

The best place to find players for matchmaking is in the Floral Federation Discord server or Seeds (Samen) Discord server.

How can I improve the frames per second (fps) for RPCS3?

Try any of these steps. None of them are guaranteed to make significant difference in fps.

━ Clean junk files from your computer. ━ Uninstall antivirus like Avast that does nothing, Windows already has a built-in antivirus and that is Windows Defender. ━ Install old versions of the emulator, on the emulator's own page, you can install other older and more stable versions, although the current one works wonderfully and is updated practically every day. ━ Close applications or browsers that are not in use to free up capacity for other tasks on computer. ━ If you want, you can choose the option "Open GL" instead of "Vulkan", in the "GPU" section of the configuration.  The quality of graphics will be lower, but lag is likely to decrease. ━ Lower the resolution of the game a little, although not much because it will look very bad.

━ Otherwise, ask in the RPCS3 Discord server. (thanks to PVZReal for this response)

Can I play PVZVM between 2 mobile devices or play on a single mobile?

You can play PVZVM and Co-op Mode on Android locally using and Android TV Edition version, learn more in the Methods guide. At this moment, there are no known ways to play PVZ Versus/Coop Mode between two mobile devices without using a computer to host.

How to play PVZVM (or Co-op Mode or PVZVM fan games) online/remotely on computer or mobile?

Go to Methods To Play PVZVM and go to Remote Connection To A Host section for PC or mobile to read more there. For fan games, it depends on the game, if it is on Roblox, it has a built-in online matchmaking system.

I am using Parsec as non-host (guest) and when I press buttons, nothing happens. How can I fix this?

Anyone who host on Parsec have the option to enable or disable one of 3 input options in the toggle selection which can be found at the lower left corner while hosting. A ✅ or ❌ will show for gamepad, keyboard, and mouse. If problems persist, try checking the input settings in the emulator. Verify that the gamepad (such as Xbox controller) is able to connect to your device locally with Gamepad Tester or through Parsec (go to settings, select Gamepad tab, press any button on controller and watch screen, if nothing shows then it does not detect controller).

Which is the best method to play PVZVM on PC?

First, read about all methods before trying any in the Methods To Play PVZVM guide. If you want direct access to the original game and be able to play anytime locally or be able to host for others, then emulator is the best option. Setting up emulator can be time consuming and requires good PC. If you want a more simple process, then choose remote connection or fan games. Remote connection requires you to find someone who has either emulator or fan game on their device and can host (unless you can host). Fan games provides an alternative to the original PVZVM that is managed and updated by independent developers.

When playing multiplayer in an RPCS3, and I press a button, the same action occurs for multiple players when it should not. For example, when I press up for myself, it also presses up for another player. Can more than one person use the same keyboard to play multiplayer games on RPCS3? What should I do?

Multiple players can use the same keyboard. Multiple players using the keyboard as controls, can be compared to jigsaw puzzles. Jigsaw puzzles can have gaps, but SHOULD NOT HAVE ANY OVERLAPS. Many buttons are not used for PVZ, so buttons which are not used, can overlap with controls for other players. If you find that a single button press has the same action for multiple players when it should not happen, ensure that the same button is not used for multiple players. Go to pads settings to configure controls.

FAQ About Other Things[]

What is the PVZVM Bot on Discord? What does it do? How was this bot created? How is it maintained?

It is a custom Discord bot created by Plovazo that provides quick access to useful information and provides randomizing commands. Randomizing commands include random number generator, flip coin to decide whether someone is on Team Plants or Team Zombies, generate random PVZVM 2 Team loadout, and more. vmhelp is the command for info on other commands. I used Replit as the place to input the code, Python as the coding language, and UpTimeRobot to keep the bot online.
